📄Full description
PawPotty is a toilet training kit for cats. A white frame snaps on top of your toilet seat and holds a blue tray made of nested rings. At first it works just like a litter box, right where the toilet is.
As your cat gets comfortable, you pull out one ring at a time. The opening in the middle slowly gets bigger and you use less and less litter. In the end you take the tray and frame off, and your cat uses the regular toilet seat.
In the box: white base frame, blue ring tray (outer ring, two inner rings and a center plug), rear clamp, screws and washer.
🧩How it works
- Snap it on. Set the frame on the closed toilet seat and hook the rear clamp onto the seat. Tools are not needed.
- Add a little litter. Fill the tray with a thin layer, like a normal litter box.
- Pull a ring. When your cat is using it with no accidents, remove the center plug. Later, the next ring, then the next.
- Take it off. Once only the outer ring is left and your cat is relaxed, remove the tray, then the frame.
Keep the toilet lid up and the bathroom door open so your cat can always get to it.
⏳How long it takes
Most cats take about 2–3 months. Some are faster, some take longer. Every cat learns at its own speed.
The rule is simple: only move to the next step after about a week with no accidents. If your cat has an accident, go back one step for a few days. Going too fast is the most common reason training stalls.
🚽Will it fit my toilet?
It fits most standard round and elongated toilets. It works with seat openings about 7.7–9.8 in wide × 11–12.6 in long (19.6–25 × 28–32 cm).
Measure the inside of your toilet seat opening before you order. If it isn't in that range, the frame may not sit flat.
🐈Is it right for my cat?
It works best for healthy, confident adult cats in a home where one bathroom can stay open for them.
- Keep a backup litter box around while training, and for trips or boarding.
- Keep an eye on your cat's bathroom habits. If anything changes, check in with your vet.
- If your cat is very nervous, older, or has trouble jumping, it may not be a good fit.

How training goes, week by week
Five simple steps. Most cats get there in about 2–3 months.
-
Step 1
Weeks 1–2Move the box
Put your cat's litter box right next to the toilet. Every few days, raise it a little on a sturdy stool so your cat gets used to hopping up.
-
Step 2
Weeks 2–4Full tray on the toilet
Snap PawPotty onto the seat and add a thin layer of litter. Your cat uses it like a normal litter box, just higher up.
-
Step 3
Weeks 4–6Pull the center plug
Once there's been a week with no accidents, remove the small center plug. Your cat learns to go over the opening.
-
Step 4
Weeks 6–9Remove the inner rings
Pull the next ring, wait a week or so, then the next. Use less litter each time, until only the outer ring is left.
-
Step 5
Weeks 9–12+Toilet only
Take off the tray, then the frame. Your cat uses the regular seat. You flush. No box, no scooping.
Every cat learns at its own speed. Only move to the next step after about a week with no accidents. If there's an accident, go back one step for a few days. Keep a backup litter box handy for trips.
Simple for you. Gentle for your cat.

Pull a ring, not a scoop
Each ring you lift out makes the opening a little bigger. Your cat goes at its own pace, and you never have to guess what comes next.

That litter box corner? It's yours again
No box in the hallway, no litter stuck to your feet, no smell to cover up before guests come over. Put a plant there instead.

Everything you need in one kit
In the box: white base frame, blue ring tray (outer ring, two inner rings and a center plug), rear clamp, screws and washer.
Fits seat openings about 7.7–9.8 in wide × 11–12.6 in long.
Questions, answered
Does it work for every cat?
It works best for healthy, confident adult cats. Nervous, older or less mobile cats may not take to it. Keep a backup litter box while you train.
How long will training take?
Most cats take about 2–3 months, and some take longer. Only move to the next step after about a week with no accidents.
Do I need tools to install it?
No. The frame sits on top of your closed seat and the rear clamp hooks onto it. It takes a few minutes.

What if my cat has an accident?
Go back one step for a few days, then try again. Accidents usually mean the last step went a little too fast.
Can my family still use the toilet?
Yes. Lift the trainer off, use the toilet, and set it back. Keep the lid up and the door open so your cat can always get in.
